Duarte Elks Lodge

Duarte Elks Lodge #1427 came to visit our 3rd Grade Classes for a short but very exciting assembly. All 3rd grade students were given the "Gift of Words" with a brand new Dictionary. They were also given a challenge to learn a new word every day to become "Life Long Learners." Students in Mrs. Guillen's class and Mrs. Reece's class were exciting to receive their dictionary and can not wait to put it to good use. Thank you to Duarte Elks for this wonderful gift.

The Great ShakeOut

All students, teachers, and staff participated in The Great Shakeout Earthquake Drill on

October 19th, 2017 at 10:19am

Earthquake drills are an opportunity to practice how to be safer during earthquakes: "Drop, Cover and Hold On." This has also been a great practice to see if our school needs to update emergency plans and supplies in order to prevent damage and injuries in case of a future disaster. Parents are encourage to prepare an emergency plan and survival kit at home. If you have not submitted your student's emergency disaster bag, please turn one in to the office as soon as possible.
