Principal's Message

December 2017

Dear Parents,

The year is coming to an end quickly. However, our school year is in full force. We just finished a productive month and already into December. Here are some bright spots for the month of November.

  • We had another great coffee with the principal where we shared ideas and collaborated on how we can better the education for our students.
  • We continued to have Wonders training for the parents. They had an opportunity to learn about how the program uses technology in student learning.
  • The PTA had another movie night for the students.
  • Teachers and parents met for conferences to discuss the progress of their children.
  • We had a great Family Math Game Day with our district math TOSA Mrs. Mcgough. The kids and the parents had fun playing games together. If you missed out be sure to join us at the spring one.

As we begin December there are a few activities planned. There is one last parent training for the new Language Arts program, Wonders. We will continue to learn about the program and look at how we can support our students at home in reading and writing. For the students we have two exciting activities this month. First, we have the NED Show coming to teach the students to Never Give Up, Encourage others, and Do Your Best. They present this in a fun way using yo-yo’s. Students will be able to purchase yo-yo’s after the assembly for $8, $10, or $15. In addition, PTA have put together another great Santa’s Workshop for students to buy Christmas gifts.

Winter Break will begin on December 22nd and students will return January 10th.  I hope you have a great vacation full of relaxing time with your families. I want to wish all of you Happy Holidays and a prosperous and healthy New Year!

Sincerely,

Mr. Stout
